College-level courses in banking, financial institutions and risk management

ProBanker is used in a number of universities as a supplemental tool in teaching courses in banking, management of financial institutions, and risk management. It provides a realistic environment that incorporates competition, regulatory constraints and market uncertainty.

ProBanker offers two modes for training. In Autosim mode, students play against the computer and in Competitive mode they play against other teams in a simulated banking market. The application allows for different degrees of complexity, making it appropriate for use in an introductory commercial bank management course to advanced electives.

ProBanker comes with a diagnostic tool that provides instructors with the necessary information to analyze the outputs after each run and point out the strengths and weaknesses of each team. This is a useful tool as the algorithms and the interdependency among variables in running a financial institution can be challenging to decipher after each run.

ProBanker provide assignments for several of the topics covered in the banking mode. The assignments are intertwined with the simulation to provide a truly hands-on learning.
